E3 starfield10/26/2022 I really enjoy thinking about those big questions. But we ask some big questions in the game – the kind that people have asked when they look to the sky, you know? ‘What's out there?’ Why are we here? How do we get here?’ And we get into science, we get into religion. What have we found? What are we unlocking? At one point the narrator reveals, ‘What you found is the key to unlocking everything’. And our hope is that each player feels like they could say, here's who I want to be in this universe – and then we're giving them an outlet to express that.” “So we have one story that we're telling, and then we have a lot of other ones, like we love to do. It’s kind of like Skyrim in terms of the structure of the game, where you're going to be who you want to be, and then there's different factions that you can join, and really carve your own path. There are a lot of factions in the game but that's the main one that you'll become a part of. It's like NASA meets Indiana Jones meets the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, a group of people that are still searching for answers. And Constellation is this kind of last group of space explorers. E3 STARFIELD PLUSTH: “Well, the game is set about 300 plus years in our own future. Let’s start with the obvious questions: Who are we? Where are we? And what is Constellation? Every button, I think, is labelled in the ship.” TH: “Right? We spent a lot of time on that cheese sandwich, getting the right sheen on a piece of space cheese. Salami and cheese sandwiches, by the look of it. We want to know what all the buttons do – we model all the buttons. But if you walk into a place where there’s stuff everywhere, we sweat the details there. “If you look at the world around us, people think landscapes – and there's a lot of landscape. We start with the world and questions like, what do they eat? What do they write with? How do they order their books? One is to show you that even though this is a game set in space, it still has a lot of lived-in character and things that you would expect from our games. Todd Howard: “Well, yes, it's two things. Is this a deliberate ploy to get a guessing game going? Given this timeline, we 100% believe that well see a more in-depth look, such as a gameplay showcase, in next years E3.Firstly, there are a lot of blink-and-you’ll-miss-them incidental details in the clip. As an added bonus, it will also be available on day 1 for Xbox GamePass subscribers. E3 STARFIELD PCStarfield will release on Novemfor PC and Xbox Series X/S. Everything weve seen so far has been too vague or generic to latch on to.īut we got a release date, at least. And with no gameplay presented, we dont know how it will feel in-game. We have no idea what kind of people to expect, places to see, or societies to encounter. We have no idea what the universe of Starfield is like. The trailer took place in a very nondescript location, devoid of culture. And while we want to be exciting, theres not much to be excited for. This is the first piece of media about the game weve seen since its initial reveal a few years ago. As they prepare for launch, the console indicates the games official release date. The spaceship is on a barren planet with a facility in the distance. In it, we see a man in a space suit step into a spacecraft of some sort and prepare it for lift off. The trailer kicked off the Xbox Bethesda E3 showcase on Sunday. And while it brought some pleasant news with it, there wasnt much else to be excited about. Starfield, the highly anticipated sci-fi RPG by Bethesda Game Studios, finally got some time in a spotlight during this years E3.
